How to Mount a Camera to a Model Train
Here’s a question from Don that will interest many in the hobby:
“Hello, I have wanting to put a camera on my HO train but have no idea what kind to buy or were to find them on the internet. I live in the USA if that makes any difference of any kind.”

Go pro do a range of cameras that might help you out as far as im aware the are sold world wide people use them for sky diving surfing snow boarding etc i think they are waterproof too try having a look for their website it might be what you are looking for
Thanks I will look into it.
Micro Mark has them.
Thank you also I will look in to this also.
I have a neat micro camera. Looks like a Keychain fob. Got it on ebay site store uses a micro SD card up to 32gb.
I’ve done this and I found a GoPro might be a little too large for HO scale. I got a little thumb cam that I was able to mount into a gondola and have it ride directly behind the engine for a nice “over the shoulder” kind of look to the video. I also did a similar one with the gondola being pushed by the engine. One camera similar to the one I used can be found here: 1080P DVR HD Mini Thumb DV Camera Digital Camera Recorder Night Vision 6 LED IR Light
At less than $30 it’s hard to go wrong. You can do a Google search for “thumb camera” and find a wide variety to choose from. Good luck and have fun!
You will get excellent videos if you use a Mobius can, it is the successor to the keyfob can.
