Using NCE Switch-Kat and Kato 4ch Turnout Controller

Ivan asks:

“My HO track and turnouts are Bachmann. Can I use the Switch Kat and Kato 4ch controller? The Bachmann turnout has 3 wires, whereas Kato turnouts have two? How would you wire that so that it would work?”

One Response to Using NCE Switch-Kat and Kato 4ch Turnout Controller

  • Brad says:

Track is track, same for the turnouts so it doesn’t matter who makes them.

The Bachmann should have a red and green wire to use for power red to +, green to – if it’s marked that way that’s all you need or red/black.

If your wanting to add DCC I would go with one company’s products, you can mix and match some of it but you have to know what your doing.
