Poor Running N Scale Locomotive
Aaron asks readers:
“I have a few brand Broadway Limited N scale Locomotives all run badly. They stop for no reason and I have to have supply full power from the power pack. Kato Locomotives run on the same layout no problem. I have Katu Unitrack 3’x11′ double track layout. What is the likely cause?”

I would inspect the wheel pickup wipers. Be sure they are clear of any debris, and of course that the wheels are all clean.
i helped a friend who had light on the transformer. if the transformer light went dim then you knew that there was dirt on section the train was on.
or you can read the current wirh ammeter and when the current goes lower that is the bad section
