Making Snow For Model Railroad Layout
Here is a question that readers might like to have a go at answering:
“I have a question. I am starting a small HO layout with my 11 yr old daughter. It is for Christmas time but will be up all year round. It is going to be a winter theme with snow ice etc. How would you go about 1) Putting snow down and 2) Make a frozen pond? I have a little bit of idea but could use some experienced help.”

Hi,I have a realy great snow seen on my 0-27 train layout.Go to the dollar store, they sell it by the bag. Pick up a can of 3m “77” spray glue.try this on a scrap piece of card board-spray a lit mist of glue and sprinkle the snow lightly over. It works greaton trees and mountains. But remember you don;t want to get this in your engin. After you have finished use a vacumn and clean all around track.Or of you tire of the snow vacumn it all up.
Thank you very much for the reply. How about making an iced over pond to put skating figures on? Any suggestions? Thanks again!
