Model Train Inventory
John asks readers:
"I need to know if there are any programs (downloadable and free) for keeping an inventory on the model trains."
Add your answer below.

Download a copy of open office the this is the link http://www.openoffice.org.nz/
use the spreadsheet it is more flexible than the database and you can sort the data and insert picture more easily.

I have used 2: Yard Office (don’t have a link; you can Google it) and Easy Model Railroad Inventory (http://easy-model-railroad-inventory.rclsoftware.com/index.htm). Both are free. Yard Office is a little simpler, EMRI is very comprehensive (does structures and electronics as well as locos & rolling stock).
Try RRTrains 2000 at: http://www.gregorybraun.com/RRTrains.html

I use yard office also. But to get all the features of it. You do have to pay to get a key code. It is a god program to use. You can mannipulate it somewhat. The guy who is taking care of it is always open to ideas.
