Damien from the UK sent in this photo he took at the Sileby Model Railway Exhibition. It looks like British Telecom (BT) are do some work on the phone lines – great detail.

I believe the critical thing is to tin the rail and the tip of the feed wire so that when placing the two together you only have to give the connection a brief touch with the iron (without adding solder).
