22 Inch Radius Curve – Inside or Outside Curve?

    The centerline.

    It ends up as a 44” diameter half circle.

    use the centerline.
    or if you prefer you may subtract 9/16″ for the inside of the ties.
    Or you may add 9/16′ for the outside of the ties.
    some guys make an inside radius and an outside radius to but their ties to when making curves.
    sometimes an outside curve pattern works well.. Sometimes an inside curve pattern works well.
    And sometimes you just have to use another method or just wing it.
    sanding the pattern to finish radius would be most precise.

    So if you have a 36″ wide surface, to make a u-turn the radius would have to be 18″ or less?
