LED Resistor Values

“Hello, how can I determine the brightness for LEDs based on the resistors value? What is recommended?”

Look on EBay or Amazon for a resistor box. Some are in kit form others are ready built. Hook up a power source, a set it to the highest resistance hook up a load and dial down the resistance until you reach an acceptable brightness.

LEDs are current devices. Subtract the LED voltage (around 2 volts) from the power supply voltage and divide by the current you want. This is the resistor value to use. This is Ohm’s law.
