DCC Engine Sounds Working on Older MRC Command 2000 Control
Chris models HO scale and asks:
“I just bought a beautiful CSX broadway limited rolling thunder engine, so I’m wondering if the sound (not the thunder part) will work on my old MRC Command 2000 controller?”

Yes. If it is DCC with sound.
No. If it is only DCC ready. Obviously a sound board will need to be installed, and it’s pretty easy to do.
You can program it to run on dc as well as doc. The instructions are in the BLI manual.
I have the same problem Chris had, I just bought an 00 gauge diesel loco with sound last week to work with my 25 year old MRC Controller 2000. Everything works fine except that I can only turn on/off one function (diesel engine sound on/off), by pressing the ‘Accessory’ button (6) followed by the ‘Direction 3’ button (3). How can I access/control the rest of the 28 sounds available?
(Someone mentioned ‘is there a Function’ button, the answer is No, I can’t see one)
