“I’m considering using my own photos for my backscenes. I want to model the NSW east coast escarpment. Is there a company that prints individual photos as backscenes?”

If you have the digital photo, check with the UPS Store. Their rates are pretty low compared to a ‘printing company” and, depending on the quality of the original, they are very good.
If you need something that is quite long, using your computer photo software, you can break up the photo into 2 or 3 or more parts and put them all together for the backdrop.
I actually painted the wall behind the layout and created the “sky” with clouds, etc. and then printed 3 sections from my own photos for specific sections.
Good luck,
Joe

I use Office Depot to banner print my modified panoramic photos that I load onto a USB stick. They will as take photos uploaded online also. Their banner sizes range from 3ft x 1.6ft to 10ft x 5ft. and offer several types of banner material. I use the polypropylene “for indoor use” banners. It needs to be mounted on a smooth surface as it is thin and flexable there for any bumps or ruff surfaces will show thru. I use double sided tape or the appropriate glue.
