Fleischmann Deisel Locos With Decoders

“I have two HO Fleischmann deisel locos that have had decoders fitted from scratch. Both of the decoders have stopped working. How do I test to find out if the locos still work without taking the decoders out of the locos which were fitted by a friend about three months ago, who I do not see any more?”

First off, do you have the instructions for your decoders. They should tell you how to check your decoders have not fouled up. If your decoders are of the plug in type you can remove them with relative ease and put the dummy plug which will set your loss up for analogue running.
