1/16 x 3/16 Round Half Sawn Basswood Sticks

Jon asks readers:

“Does anyone know where I can find 1/16″H x 3/16″W half-sawn basswood sticks? I am trying to replicate a log siding on a building I am making. Appreciate the feedback.”

I’m not sure what you mean by half sawn, but Midwest Products sells basswood of varying sizes, including the 1/16 by 3/16 you are looking for.

If your looking to imitate logs I would look a grocery store. You can buy skewer sticks and sand one side flat if needed, very cheep and look good.

They (Midwest products) also do round dowls, in 1/16 diameter and 3/16 diameter, not in basswood though.
